Child Trust	An amount of £1,200 can be paid in by family and friends. The funds can be cashed in when the child is 18 and must remain in the fund until that time.	New trust for all children born from  September 2002.  Basic contribution  £250, rising to £500 for children from poorer families.  Parents will have the opportunity of adding to the  trust, which will be available to the child at 18 years of age
